Cookie & Local Storage Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
Beyond The Visa uses essential browser storage to keep the service working, remember requested preferences and preserve progress. The current service does not use advertising cookies.
Technologies we use
- Authentication storage keeps signed-in sessions secure across page loads.
- Local storage remembers interface preferences, theme, progress and temporary feature state.
- Service-worker cache may retain app files to improve reliability and loading.
- Third-party service storage may be used by Supabase, payment or embedded-media providers when their services are requested.
Information stored on the device
- Session and account state.
- Country, profession and personalisation choices.
- Journey, costs, learning progress, deadlines and saved items.
- Theme, accessibility and interface preferences.
- Cookie-notice acknowledgement and security-related state.
Why essential storage is used
Essential storage supports authentication, security, navigation, saved progress, requested preferences, payments and reliable delivery. Disabling it may prevent parts of the service from working.
Analytics and marketing
Non-essential analytics, personalisation or marketing technologies must not be enabled without updating this policy and, where required, obtaining prior consent through a genuine preference control. Rejecting non-essential technologies must be as easy as accepting them.
Managing site data
Browser settings can inspect or clear cookies and site data. Clearing essential storage may sign the user out and remove locally held progress or preferences. Account information stored securely in the service may remain until it is deleted through the available account controls or a verified request.
External services: Linked websites and requested third-party services may use their own cookies. Review their policies before continuing.
